Do I miss it? Gonna be honest, not really. The shifter was better than the Alltrack’s, but overall, the Alltrack is a way better daily. And if I’d like to buy a house in the next two years, I’m glad I picked it as my only car.

Th e FiST was a truly iconic car. The Alltrack may be the Oppo car of the year, but it isn’t green with stripes. The Jolly Rancher will be missed. Idea: the Jolly Ranchero.
My 2 year anniversary with my Cruze will be on the 17th and I think I will be hitting exactly 20,000 miles driven. It doesn't feel like that long ago, really.

Before the FiST came out I thought it would be the perfect car for me. I couldn’t afford one when they finally did hit dealers. Now I Also have bigger more comfortable German car. And honestly at this point in my life a FiST has almost no appeal to me at all. Mostly because I mainly only use my car when I’m going on long trips. It would have been an awesome car for me 10 years ago.

It’s funny: I got reminded that a few years ago, I took a photo of a green El Camino with black stripes. That would’ve been awesome, too.
I was just talking with my sister about how absurd the passage of time is when you grow up.

El Ranchero Alegre in Spanish.
Yes, time seems to just pass by quicker and quicker in a somewhat scary way. Plans fall by the wayside too . While two years is a moderately long time, with how little trouble the car has given me, it doesn’t feel like nearly as long. All I’ve done is change the oil, replace a thermostat, and a wheel bearing (tech didn’t tighten the wheels properly). I need to do a 20,000 miles two year review.
